Hello, I am planning on getting the DT 990 pro and I am not planning on getting an amp. All I am wondering is will it work on my phone (samsung s10 plus) and on my lenovo laptop.

In the future I may buy an amp.

Any advice and help would be much appreciated.

Solution
FiiO BTR5 can power a 250 ohm headphone, it can be used as a smaller desktop DAC/APM and has bluetooth so you can use the headphones wirelessly. I have an older version of this and it sounds great, usually use it on my laptops and tablet computers.

FiiO makes a nice range of products for portable amps/dacs https://www.fiio.com/amp

Some others available like the iFi Hip-dac, EarStudio HUD100, EarStudio ES100 MK2

Really a bunch of options, just read through the specs to make sure they will work with your phone.

I'm thinking king about getting the Fiio A1 amp as a starter amp and then later on planning on getting a more expensive one

A DT990 is not going to scale with better amplification. It's either going to get loud enough or it's not. It's going to be painfully bright no matter what you connect it to.

Why not just get what you want now instead of buying something twice? Plus the A1 is only an amp, and you will need to have it connected to a 3.5mm input which phones are getting rid of.
So right now i want just a standard budget amp due to money, and i dont really mind it only having a 3.5mm connection as my laptop and PC can both use it and my phone. if i was to get a newer phone that didnt have a 3.5mm aux port i would just connect a aux to type c dongle. But hopefully down the line i will buy a better amp.
