DTS Headphone:X and Dolby Surround Sound

im currently using the logitech g430 headphone and installed the logitech gaming software. Was curious should i turn on the surround sound and what are the differences between DSS and DTS headphone:X?

You have to decide if they sound better with or without the surround sound. The difference between DSS and DTS are just two differend audio codecs. Some prefere dolby surround over dts and otherwise. Again this is preference. I always found dolby to be most destinguishing the differend sound channels. But music could easily be too loud compared to the other sounds and voices a bit too soft. DTS feels more balanced. Also destinguishing all channels very well but more in balance. This is just my opinion and experience.
