This is going to be on a DEll Studio desktop. If you are not familia with this particular desktop, one of its features is a HDMI port located on the back of the system, however i guess its on the motherboard because i got a graphics card from dell as well and that too has a hdmi port as well as other connections like hdmi and dvi and others.

My question is, if i am going dual display, how exactly do i hook it up?

What will happen if i plug it into the computers hdmi port and not the video card's hdmi port?

How exactly would i be able to get the best performance and visual clearity out of this dual display.

BTW the monitors are also hdmi, they have a port on the back of the screens. Thanks in advance for the help.

When you plug a video card into the PCIE slot the motherboard video is turned off so is not useable. I did have one Dell that this was not the case but I have tried since then and they never work. you have many options they make a HDMI to DVI converter that way both your screens are using the same conector. Also just run HDMI to one screen and DVI to the other will work fine I assume you are running 1080P or 1900x1200 this will work but on a side note that video card will not play games and will cry if you do much on one monitor at that rez let alone 2. I have that video card running on a media PC to a 1080P plasma and while it is fine at decoding BlueRay and other HD stuff is is very limited on anything beyond that. :hello:
