Dual boot O/S Windows 7/8&10 for gaming and more

Hello friends,

I am a brand new gamer, preparing to build my new rig, and I'm looking for O/S advice.
I intend on playing games like Witcher 3, Just Cause 3 and Far Cry Primal.

I'd like to get windows 10 (being the newest), but not if it is going to interfere with gaming for a while yet. I was thinking of purchasing Windows 8 (or 7) and somehow partitioning my SSD (or have 2 SSDs--one for each O/S), so that I can game on Windows 7 or 8, but also have Windows 10 as a dual boot for all non-gaming.

Have you done this? Results?
Thoughts?
Impossible and weird?

I've done this. I already had windows 7 installed and wanted to dual boot with windows 10 to try it out. I didn't have any problems with it. Though I ended up deleting windows 10 because I never used it and all of my programs and files were on windows 7.
