Solution
You need a bootdisk (Download from bootdisk.com) to boot Windows XP... then from Windows XP, edit Boot.ini to include Linux, making XP the default boot OS. See the image

XP Quick Boot Diskette xpquick.zip | xpquick.exe
(Install xpquick to a floppy disk, CD, or bootable USB)
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

(HOW TO) HOOKING THE LINUX BOOTLOADER INTO THE WINDOWS XP BOOTLOADER

Win XP Boot.ini edited with Linux in dual boot
