HI all
I'm wondering ...is it poss to dual boot NT with DOS on the HD. The reason I ask is that I don't trust floppies especially when flashing the BIOS.
My 6.5Gb HD is set up thus:
C: 8Mb FAT for NT's Boot files
D: 1.2Gb unpartitioned space for future OS {Linux maybe}
E: 1.2Gb NTFS for NT OS
F: 2.1Gb NTFS for Apps
G: 2.1Gb FAT for work
H: 39Mb FAT left over for TEMP etc

If it is poss to copy DOS files to the C partition (and boot from them) would i have to edit the NT Boot file?

Any advice would be grateful

Yes, it can be done. It's usually done by putting DOS on first and then NT but you can still do it the other way around.

Check Microsoft Technet knowledge base article Q153762

Thanks

Interesting article...........now I"m trying to find where I can get hold of a copy of MS DOS??

I got MS-DOS6.22 bootdisk and I am d'loadin' DrDOS 7.0.3 right now. I am intersted in learning DOS anyways as is seems to be the root of windoze OS's :smile: . I vaguely remember learning BASIC at school :lol: so this should be interesting!
