Hi everybody.
I have a pc in my office that has W10 32bit version on it. As I know, If I put more then 4gb ram (as now i have only 4gb ram) Windows won't registret it. So I was thinking to buy my self another disk, install on that second disk 64 bit W10, so that my pc can recognize thoose extra ram.

Let me answer why i have 32bit insteed 64 bit. I need 32 bit windows because of work. As my programms dont work properly on 64 bit and therefore I'm forced to be on 32 bit.

So my question is. Is there going to be some complications in dual boot, if I have two disks that have same windows? The only difference is that one disk has 32 bit, and the other one has 64 bit version?

there shouldn't be. my work has 2 versions of windows 10 running in a dual boot (mind you both are in different languages. and officially you cannot run the same version of windows using the same licence but windows will keep both version activated as long as they are both the same edition

What specific applications do you have that will only run in a Win 10 32bit environment?
Similarly, what might you need the extra RAM for, that is only available with the 64bit OS?

You might consider running the Win 10 32bit in a VM, instead of dual boot.

If your worried about making a mistake you could disconnect your main hard drive. This tho may force you to use bcdedit.
You need to boot from your Windows 10 64 bit disk, click Custom Install during the install options and select the prepared hard disk or partition and Windows 10 should take care of the rest. Once installation is complete, you will have the option when your computer starts to select the version to boot. Note you can only have 1 activated license, if you need to use both, you will need have both licensed separately, cannot use the same key. However, you can evaluate both for 30 days until decide which one is appropriate for your needs. If it doesnt let you pick you will need bcdedit and here is a link explaing.

In 32 bit i use ms-dos program for bookkeeping in my business. But I would like to install some games on my pc, so for that i was looking in to putting extra hdd with separate opereting system. Games Rocket league and Rust.

Options:

1. 2 drives, in an externally accessible drive bay.
Power off, swap the drives, boot up to your chosen function.

2. Run the Win 10 32bit in a VirtualMachine. Presumably the bookkeeping thing is not graphics intensive, so that should be no problem.

3. Investigate Compatibility Mode, to allow that bookkeeping application to run in a 64bit OS

4. Dual boot.


All except #3 will involve two individual OS licenses.

aha, thats changes a bit.
So in easy solution. I could disconect my primary disk with 32 bit w10. Insert my second disk, install on it windows 10 64 bit. connect primary disk 32 bit W. And with evrey boot by F11 or F12 choose which HDD to use in that exact moment?
