Dual boot windows and linux

I am trying dual boot windows 10 and linux mint. I would like to install linux mint in my D: drive. I plan on using a usb to do this. How do I go about doing this?

Install Windows first, then Linux. Assuming that D: is a physical drive or partition, you simply install Linux as you would Windows.

I like Mint, I started using it as an experiment 3.5 years ago, now its my primary OS. The only time I go into Windows now is for work or for games that will not run on Linux. @Op - bicycle_repair_man is correct. Install Windows, then Linux. If you install Linux first then Windows, Windows installer will over write the Linux boot manager.
