[SOLVED] Dual boot XP/Win 7

Hello,

I am trying to find my windows XP boot loader, and am only seeing the boot.bak file which after checking does not contain the info on booting windows 7.

I have show hidden files checked.

my system is an XP\Win 7 dual boot and I want to make a backup copy of the current boot loader.

XP is installed on drive c:\ while Win 7 is installed on drive d:\

right now the systems dual boots just fine but XP just is not right and I want to reinstall it from scratch, this will obviously overwrite my current boot loader.

If you went the normal route than the windows 7 installation took over the boot process,you should be backing up the windows 7 boot loader.
Get the free version of easyBCD it can backup and restore the BCD store that windows vista and up uses.
