Hey guys,

So recently I've changed my RAM's into dual channel but it seems like I'm getting a C1 error on my motherboard.

My setup is this one :

MOBO : Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 5 socket 1151
CPU : I7 6700K(not overclocked)
RAM : Corsair CL16 DDR4 2x8 GB 3200Mhz CMK16GX4M2B3200C16(according to memory support list,it seems like it should work without any issue)
BIOS Version is F22F

What I've tried so far :

  1. Enabling/disabling XMP profiles with 1 RAM
  2. PC is working with 2 ram's in different slots like RED/BLACK but is not working on same colour.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

According to your motherboard manual, page 10, you should be populating slots 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. Might want to list your PSU's make and model and it's age and the aftermarket cooler you're using for the processor. You might want to tear down the system, so you can clean the board, wipe the sticks of ram's gold fingers with an eraser, then clean the inserts for the ram slots and remove the CMOS battery for at least 30 minutes. See if reseating all of them and reconnecting to the wall helps.

As far as I know, my PSU is an Corsair RM 750,not sure 100% if Its 650 or 750 and the cooler is an NOCTUA NH-D14.

EDIT: Tried running on slots 4_3 and 4_4,same C1 error.
