No. Dual channel requires the ram run in pairs. The speed difference is only 5-7% so you can use the third stick if your bios permits it. Check the ram configuration chart in your board manual, or download it online. Dual channel is a function of the motherboard, not the ram.

First, I really don't recommend mix-matching: Frequency,CAS Timings, especially Voltage and in many cases 'Brands/type', in the example above you'd need to manually set the CAS Timings as I've suggested.

In general, 2 DIMM vs 3 DIMM works fine for newer MOBOs, but in some the BIOS will simply disable the extra RAM if the Channels are not equal in size so you need to read your manual. In DDR3 the differences between: Ganged, Unganged, Dual, Triple, and non Dual/Triple are minimal <1%. Further, you need to fill the {Primary} DIMM slots and then add 1 or 2 to the {Secondary} DIMM slots which varies per MOBO.
