Dual Channel DDR Ram

I am running the Gigabyte GA-7NNXP, with AMD XP3200+ and want to buy 1GB of
DDR-Ram

I want to get 2x512 MB pieces to use the dual channel feature with it's full
bandwith advantage.

Is there a difference what RAM I buy?
I mean do I have to go for the "bundled" 2x512 MB products (supposedly built
for dual channel) or can I just buy two stockstandard 512MB sticks and chuck
'em in and the mobo will activate it's dual channel and let it rip?

Obviously I would go for low latency and a good brand name.

No, the bundled RAM is a marketing gimmick. If you are looking for low
latency and good brand name, ANYTHING you buy should work for dual channel.
Based on experience, I like Kingston, Mushkin and Crucial brand of RAM. In
fact, I've had spectacularly good luck with Kingston lately, and not just
for system RAM. -Dave
