[SOLVED] Dual channel / flex mode

Quick question,
I've got 3 sticks of ram same speed, same brand, same size. My mobo (gigabyte b450m) supports dual channel; will the ram work in flex mode? Will the 2x8 work in dual and the remaining stick in single?

In theory it should work in flex mode.
Just an awkard question to be sure, is it DDR3 or DDR4?
