Question Dual Channel Memory Configuration

I bought a motherboard that is GIGABYTE B450M DS3H that has 4 memory slots. Can I use DDR4_3 and DDR4_4 slot instead of DDR4_1 and DDR4_2 which is recommended by GIGABYTE by the manual.

Sometimes specific slots are a requirement, other times, they are simply recommended.
Since you presumably have both motherboard and ram, you have the means to try it both ways.
