Hello. I have 2 ram modules: hyperx beast 1600 cl9 4gb each, so 8gb in total.

I want to upgrade to 16gb but because these beast model are very tall i can't put one in the first slot.

Would 2 more modules from other model, like hyperx savage, 1600 cl9 4gb each work with these 2 I already have?

Or better sell the 2x4gb and buy 2x8gb?

Best practice is to always use the same make/model/timings. While mixing like that "could" work, its a complete crap shoot. At best, it'll work and you won the jackpot. More often you'll get some odd system instability or it just flat out won't work at all.

If you can't adjust your CPU cooler so you can fit the RAM module in that first slot, and selling them is an option, I'd do that and get RAM thats going to work for your situation better.
