Okay so here are my specs
Intel i7 4790K processor;
Currently 8gigs of ram(have 16)
GTX 1080 MSI

So, my question is, when I try to put my other 8gig ram into the slot to do dual channel ram, it starts to give me the 4 beep error saying the timing was bad, but ive tried both rams and they both work fine, its only when they're together. So currently I'm using only one stick. Also, I heard that you have to activate it through the BiOs menu... I've tried but i cant seem to find it. Nothing says "dual channel mode" the only thing that even considers any channel mode is in the first page of the BiOs that says "Single channel mode". Finally, i know the motherboard supports Dual Channel mode because in the specs it says it and it shows max ram is 32 gigs. So idk where im going wrong. Please help asap 😀

Tried that already, as soon as I put both ram sticks in PC wont boot up and it will start giving me the 4 short beeping error and no display will show.

Didnt think about that. Im actually using the i7 Heatsink it came with. Ill definetly see if i can loosen it some.

How about the CPU its self? What if i tightened that a bit tight?

Update: still getting 4 beeps error

When I had an issue like yours I had to go into bios with only one memory module installed and then I had to go into bios disable and disable XMP. Turn off the computer put the other stick of memory in reboot, if it posts go into bios and manually configure the settings for the memory. If it fails to post after that there must be something going on with the communication between the memory dimms and the chip set if it will only work with one memory slot, or your memory is bad itself.

I've tried that but i cant find anything called XMP, can you post how to get there?

and i just re-read what you said, what do you mean by bios disable??
