Dual channel mode...

Just to double check, to enable dual channel mode, all I have to do is put RAM sticks in slots of the same color, correct?

Most MBs will use the slots of the same color like you mention. Your MB manual is the place to look if you have a question about which slots to use for dual channel. Download and install CPUZ to check dual channel status.

Yes, usually motherboards has 1 and 3 slot, and 2 and 4 slot pair up for dual channel. It is also indicated with color. Also memory sticks has to be of the same quantity but and prefferably of the same frequency and timings.

If their colored then i would match with it but if the slots are all the same color then i try the 1-3 2-4 method. CPUZ always comes to my rescue though!

Some MBs have it that way, for other MBs you need to put them in different colors. Your MB manual should list what works for your MB. Since the manuals are sometimes wrong/backwards, it is an excellent idea to check with a program like CPU-Z, as suggested above.
