Dual Channel Ram On An Octo Channel Motherboard

So, I know that dual channel ram works with a quad channel motherboard stable, but would it work on an Octo channel motherboard?

there is no such thing as dual (or whatever number) channel RAM. RAM is always just a stick with the properties specified on the box (frequency, timings, voltage and capacity)
multi channel support is memory controller feature that allows to "combine" the bandwidth of individual RAM sticks up to a number of supported/available sticks.
so yes it will work.
