Dual Channel Ram on the H97 Mobo?

Alright, so I just recently ordered a ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboard H97M-PLUS. I also got a Hyper 212 Evo cpu cooler, which as most of you know is the size of a small continent. It'll fit on the motherboard, but I also happened to get Corair Vengeance ram, which again, as most of you know, has obnoxiously flared heatsinks that giants probably use to apply their mascara. Everything will fit into the given area IF I shift my ram sticks over a slot. Now The slots are color coded to indicate which ones are dual channel, so in theory my sticks will perform fine. However a quick browsing of the motherboard manual yielded no verification to my thoughts. It simply said the 1st and 3rd slots were channels a1 and b1 respectively, and the 2nd and 4th slots were a2 and b2 (or something to that effect).

Now you could've probably skipped that entire colorful narrative, as my only question is "Will putting my 2 RAM sticks in the 2nd and 4th slots (both of which are colored gray) affect performance in any way?

Here is a picture of the board so you can get a bit of a better visual. http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Micro-DDR3-Motherboards-H97M-PLUS/dp/B00K2R6BQS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437493618&sr=8-1&keywords=ASUS+Micro+ATX+DDR3+2600+LGA+1150+Motherboards+H97M-PLUS

Solution
I doubt it, my motherboard has the ram in slots 3 and 4 for the exact same reason with the exact same cooler, but my motherboard also recommends those slots for 2 sticks not 1 and 3. Put them in and fire up the pc, download cpu-z go to the memory tab and it will tell you if you are in duel channel mode if you are i wouldn't worry about any performance decrease.

Edit: I meant slots 2 and 4 on my mobo not 3 and 4 that would be single channel.

Solution
Should be fine like that. Just have one stick in each channel. A2 and B2. See section 1-6 of the motherboard's product manual.

I just replaced my high-profile Vengeance myself with low profile Ballistix sports for maximum cooler compatibility moving forward.
