I built a custom pc. I have to put my sticks of ram in slot 1 and 2 because putting it in slots 1 and 3 don't work, same for 2 and 4. (Only 1 stick of ram is detected if I do that) How do I know if dual channel is enabled and is there a test.

PNY Anarchy 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR3 2133MHz (PC3-17000) CL10 Desktop Memory (BLUE) - MD8GK2D3213310AB-Z (Ram)

Solution
What CPU cooler? It may be too tight in a corner or side, throwing the CPU out of level which can cause you to 'lose' a channel. Might also check for bent/broken pins
It says Single Channel http://imgur.com/tJcaEd6, Should I put my sticks of ram to 2133MHz?

How do I get them to work in Dual Channel? Can I overclock with a stock fan?

Do I have to switch the position of my ram sticks? (There in slots 1 and 2) I switched 2 things in the bios (2 things that said ram sticks will work simultaneously with each other)

According to manual, sticks should go in 1 and 2 or 3 and 4, just watch it, buses are not next to each other so one stick than skip one bus than another stick.
It also shows:

Due to APU limitations, read the following guidelines before installing the memory in Dual Channel mode.
1. Dual Channel mode cannot be enabled if only one DDR3 memory module is installed.
2. When enabling Dual Channel mode with two or four memory modules, it is recommended that memory
of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chips be used and installed in the same colored DDR3
sockets. For optimum performance, when enabling Dual Channel mode with two memory modules,
we recommend that you install them in the DDR3_1 and DDR3_2 sockets.

Well I switched them out and one doesn't work, it says I only have 4 gigs of ram when I switch them out.

Look at MB manual, usually there is 2 or 3 pin connector marked something like CLR_CMOS somewhere near battery or BIOS chip or take battery out for a few minutes. Computer has to be completely off and you can press start button for few seconds so it drains all capacitors.

Is this safe to do? What does that do?

I see CLR_CMOS but what's under it is the Power+LED+ and these 2 metal prongs.

I did that and reset the bios but dual channel still doesn't work because it only recognizes 1 ram stick when I switch them.

No I can't find that setting. If you can find it tell me what section(s) to find it in.
