Dual channel using individual sticks?

Since the pricing between twin pairs of 2gb ram and 2 individual 2gb ram (ddr3) differs by $30-40 usd over here, I'm wondering about the chances of getting 2 individual sticks to work in dual channel mode if I get 2 of the same model from a shop here. Is there a good chance it'd work? Or does the guaranteed dual channel justify the $30-40 more?

should work fine, i am running 2 sets of dual channel kits (same kind of thing)
