[SOLVED] Dual channel

Memory is not, by itself dual channel.
That is managed by the motherboard.
Most current motherboards have dual channel capability, regardless if they have 2 or 4 ram slots.
Using just one stick results in single channel operation.
Two will give you dual channnel operation increasing the throughput from ram.
So, yes, dual channel is good.

And as a caveat, buy a single kit with two matched ram sticks.
Separate sticks , even the same part number, might be cheaper, but they are not matched and may not work properly together.
