I would like to know if of the people owning Dual Cores use P2P Software.

A friend has a XP1000+ 1GB Ram
I have Sempron2600+ 1GB Ram

While our system manager reports 200MB Ram & 5-15% CPU usage our computers are really really sluggish.
Specially his, winrar takes like 10 secs to start launching.

I would like to know if other people using P2P software have this issue.

But above all, if they have real experience with DualCore & P2P.

Have you noticed a drastically improved reaction time with DualCores ?

Thanks in advance.

could just be you have slow harddrive or they need defragmenting.

try doing a defrag by right clicking mycomputer > manage > disk defragmenter

if that dosent help its proberly your harddrive is just slow, as neither of those systems seems particularly new... (althought the sempron might be.)

when I only where surfing and doing p2p I underclocked my pc to 1600 mhz never experienced any problems with speed.

Dual core improved the speed while playing when using p2p.
