Upgrading a already bad dual core CPU to another bad dual core isn't the best idea. Save some Money instead and at least get a Pentium g860 or beyond.

Looking at the CPU's you listed, the E5700 is a 500mhz increase on the E5200. Same architecture. To answer your question you will see no boost in performance to change to a E5700 or at least no real obvious improvement. Maybe a small increase (a few frames per second when gaming).

The points the other guys made are valid. There is no point wasting money on the E5700, even if it was for 20 pounds/dollars/euros it is not worth it. Save up and get something that will give you real game play. Your GPU is not bad, so at least you can transfer that to a new system, along with your HD. So that leaves you with a motherboard, new CPU, new ram, new PSU to get. Get saving!! 😉 In the meantime, you will have to make do.
