Question dual display port and HDMI out support

On a typical gaming PC can you independently output 120/240hz via display port to display 1 and 60hz via HDMI to display 2? Or, could you have a single PC output via display port to display 1 running at 120/240hz and take the output of that display 1 via HDMI to display 2 running at 60hz?

Standard PC monitors do not output anything, therefore your second scenario is moot.

The first scenario is normal. I use a 144hz primary Display Port monitor and a secondary 60hz HDMI montior.
