Dual Displays using IGX or GPU?

So my motherboard has 2 HDMI ports and my GPU has 1 HDMI port and 3 DisplayPort ports. I got a 32" TV as a second monitor but if I plug it into the motherboard HDMI ports it isn't recognized. Currently I have my monitor connected to the motherboard HDMI port and the TV connected to the GPU HDMI port. Does that mean that anything I'm running on my monitor will be using IGX or will it all still be using the GPU?

If my monitor is using IGX how can I switch it to use my GPU or, alternatively, how can I make my motherboard recognize the TV?

Thanks ahead of time for all responses!

Solution
Problem was solved. After NVIDIA control panel asked to detect TVs that generally aren't detected I swapped the HDMI ports and Intel Control panel started detecting the TV.

Can you please list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
GPU:
OS:
Monitor/display's make and model:

You should be able to see within your GPU's settings menu/page if the two displays are being powered off the iGPU or the dedicated GPU.

CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 3.30GHz 3.30GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte H170N Wifi
GPU: NVIDIA GTRX 950
OS: Windows 10
ASUS Monitor and Westinghouse 32" smart TV

It shows that my monitor is the one using IGX and the TV is using my GPU. I think the main thing here is I need to get the Intel HD Graphics 510 to recognize the TV. It wasn't originally detected in the nvidia control panel but after I clicked detect and it didn't find anything it gave me an option to detect certain TVs that aren't usually detected and that fixed it.
