Dear all,

I am quite interested on this motherboard as in it has plenty of PCI slots and the quality components. However, I am wondering the dual ethernet of this motherboard claims to have 2gb internet speed. A friend of mine told me that, dual ethernet ports require two ISP in order to utilize the ports. So I am a bit confusing, how exactly does it work? Can I just plug two lan cables from one router to this motherboard to make it faster?

Solution
No.
It will increase performance when networking, but not all the way to 2gbps. It is only theoretical. Reall speeds will depend on the router you have and if is is supported by your computer. Your router will limit the speeds. Also a use of it is redundancy. If one fails there's a backup. Really, I believe if it is not being used to connect multiple servers and workstations, it is really no use of it at all. It can double team if both your router and motherboard supports it.
