I recently upgraded to windows 7 from windows xp. I had an external raid case with two 500gb drives.
After instillation to windows 7 I connected the drive to the system with a bit of difficulty the drive was eventually recognized by windows 7. I was able to do back up of the Raid to a regular usb drive. So I though I was looking at the files on the new backup and noticed that the drive was not totally copied from the old raid case.
When I went to plug in the Raid it didn't connect to windows 7 .Cant find the drivers for the case so I am left with the two drives in the case. Do the drives still contain the data and can I just connect the drive to the pc via the sate and see the drive with the files to back them up.

Part of your story leads me to think that you had a software RAID set up within XP that is not configured in Win7. Other parts of your story lead me to doubt this, but then it leaves me without much of a theory at all.

It'd be helpful to know system specs for your computer as well as specs on the RAID enclosure and drives
