I am considering NVIDIA GTX 1070 (dual fan) GPU on mini ITX mother board

Motherboard: MSI Gaming Intel Skylake B150 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 Mini ITX Motherboard (B150I Gaming Pro AC)
GPU (dual fan): ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 O8GB Dual-fan OC Edition 4K/VR Ready Dual HDMI DP 1.4 Gaming Graphics Card (DUAL-GTX1070-O8G)
GPU (single fan mini ITX): Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Mini ITX OC 8GB GDDR5 Graphics Cards GV-N1070IXOC-8GD

Do mini ITX motherboards support dual fan GPUs or do I need to have a single fan design? I prefer dual fan GPUs as am planning to use the GPUs for deep learning and want proper cooling.

looking at these pictures here seem like plenty of room but they don't spec a mitx board .?? that may mean nothing if all the standoff holes line up and along with the back panel slot openings ??

woops, I missed this under tech specs . so looks like it all should work

Motherboard Support - Mini-ITX, MicroATX, ATX

for what I see looks like you should be good to go and look how much more GPU size space it claims as well

Maximum GPU Length -- 420mm that's = to a 16-1/2 inch long card
The motherboard only needs to have a pcie3 slot. The limiting factor is ITX builds is usually the case and then the power supply.

The case must be large enough to fit the GPU lengthwise and wide enough so that there is room for the fans and space for the fans to grab cool air.
PSU obviously must be able to power the new GPU in addition to the rest of the system.

Please let us know which case and PSU you have or intend to get.

The Case and PSU are below. I believe they should be fine, let me know if you think otherwise.

PSU: EVGA SuperNova 550: http://a.co/7FHPaVU

Why are you buying a mini-ITX motherboard for an ATX case? It'll work, but normally, when you pay the premium for an ITX motherboard, both in money and fewer features, you're getting the payoff of something that can fit in a small form factor case. You should be looking at ATX/mATX motherboards with this case.

The motherboard I have picked is MSI B150 for only $85. It good enough for my needs 1 HDD, 1 SSD, 1 GPU (NVIDIA 1070), 32GB. I am not sure if I can go much cheaper with a ATX build.

That said, I don't want to end up in a situation where the motherboard is too small for the GPUs, coolers, etc. If that is the case, I rather go for the ATX card or mATX cards.

a mitx will take any card as any form factor [mitx-atx-eatx-matx ] all that could screw you over is you don't have room in the case for longer cards

as long as you got room any card should pop right in the board as normal

like that case that guy used in that video

Fits full-size components

Many Mini ITX PC cases impose strict limitations that can make it difficult to build a well-cooled, high performance PC. The 250D has a highly efficient interior design that allows for a 5.25” optical drive, a full-length graphics card, and a full-size ATX power supply. There’s even mounting points for a 240mm radiator for advanced CPU cooling

''
''Simultaneously fit two 3.5”/2.5” drives, two 2.5” drives, one 5.25” drive, a full sized PSU, ''a 290mm long GPU,'' and a 240mm radiator ''

a evga gtx 1070 FTW is •Length: 10.5in - 266.7mm long for a example

Got it. I am using a Corsair 200R case (it's not a mini ITX case), but a full ATX case. I am using a mini ITX motherboard with a NVIDIA 1080 GPU, 1 HDD, 1 SDD and ATX power supply - with somewhat expensive Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler.

It's a good cheap configuration - motherboard is only $85 and I am fine with ATX case I don't want to risk poor cooling and air flow.
