Question Dual GeForce RTX 3060 OC not detected

Hi everyone,

I have been having a problem with upgrading the graphics card of my pc from AMD to Nvidia. It does not detect the new graphics card at all. The card itself lights up, but no fans spin and I'm getting no input to my monitor. Bios does not seem to detect the GPU as connected, nor does device manager or the Nvidia driver installer. I have already updated the bios to its latest version. All my current attempts to solve the issue have not worked.

OS - Windows 10 Pro
Motherboard - ASUS Prime X370-A
Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D
RAM - 24 GB DDR4

Please list the full specs including the make and model and wattage of your power supply. Also, is this a new card or did you buy it used? Does the old card work? That way you can rule out if something is going on with the computer or the card.

Last thing, did you plug in the power cables to the new card? I know that sounds like a silly question but sometimes the best of us forget to check the simple things.

Old graphics card - Amd Radeon RX 580 series
New graphics card - Nvidia Dual GeForce RTX 3060
Wi-Fi - connected with ethernet

I’m not exactly sure the make and model but it should be atleast 850W. The new one is unused and the old one still works, currently being used in the second pci-e slot so I can access windows and bios. As far as I am aware, the graphics card should be properly plugged in; no red light from the graphics card
