Question Dual GPU using DP In and Thunderbolt

May 12, 2020
Hi, I didn't know where to put this question exactly. I want to build a 2 gamers 1 pc system with Unraid, here are the specs as of now:
  1. Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 VISION
  2. CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x or Ryzen 5 5900x or Ryzen 9 5950x. Depends on the budget and the number of cores you guys think are optimal
  3. RAM: 8GB Ram 3600 CAS 16 Gskill Trident Z Royale silver x4
  4. PSU: Corsar RM850x white series
  5. Case: BE QUIET! SILENT BASE 802 window white
  6. AIO: Lian LI galahad 360 white
  7. Fans: LIAN LI ST120-3PACK WHITE 2x
  8. GPU-1: Any Nvidia 3000 series will do, unless you think an AMD 6000 series is better over certain 30X0 model
  9. GPU-2: 3- 4 years old Radeon 570 4GB, Saphire pulse tho
So my question is this: The mobo has a thunderbolt port and a DP IN. That means I can connect a GPU to that DP IN so I can then use the thunderbolt cable to connect everything, except for the PSU cable.

I wasn't planning to do a dual system at first, now I want to know if I could connect both GPUs somehow to that DP IN in the motherboard to be able to use just 1 thunderbolt cable, or if there are any motherboards that have 2 DP IN.
