don't get an AMD card. primarily they're hot (in a bad way) and consumes too much power.

As mentioned above the 390 is a great option as well providing your current psu can handle it.

best choice is the 390(is better than the 970) if your psu can handle it, then 380 or 380x, both are better than the 960.
that amd cards get hotter is partially true, they use more power yes, but the coolers still dissipate it well, so no problems.

yea, (970 kuch kuch) but it will be 1,5(unlikely) 3(likely) or 6(unlikely)
if it has 4 then it will have 1gb of gimped vram, so 3gb effective vram

The old 660 ti was 192bit also, and came in 2gb mostly.
