I also bought the adapter already but need to save for the 470 and I'm having doubts if this works but here's the adapter:https://www.walmart.com/ip/BattleBorn-GC-POW-ADT-PCIE-7-PCI-Express-Power-Adapter-2-x-4-Pin-Molex-to-6-pin-PCI-E-Power/47517664

16 AMPS ON THE 12+ rail isn't enough , a bad idea to even try it , and that company only produces very very poor power supplies. And I doubt the specs on that PSU are accurate.

You need a decent 450w power supply that has the PCIE cable to power it , not an adapter.

In the end it's your choice , but I wouldn't risk it.

Why doesn't it have enough power for the 470? it doesn't have a 6 pin pci-e connector? just btw I bought one if u didn't see but yeah why doesn't it have enough power?

It's too weak on power and also has a very poor 12v+ rail , it's not designed to run cards. I wouldn't power any build with it. Adapters are a very bad idea on a weak low quality PSU.

This is what happens in that scenario.

The label on the psu says 12v rail max combined w is 330 and pc part picker says 304w
