Hello

I got 2 monitors, my main monitor is using a resolution of 1920x1080 and my second monitor is using a 1440x900. And I like to watch movies and stuff on my second screen when gaming. But the stuff I got on my second screen are being moved when I launch a game. BUT if the game is running on the resolution 1920x1080 the stuff on my second screen does not move, but I like to play my FPS games on 1024x768. Anything to prevent this cause it is getting really anoying.

Thanks beforehand.

You should always run LCD monitors at their native resolution, and when running more than one monitor, they should all the same resolution to prevent the graphics switching issues that you are experiencing.

That being said, there are a few things that can be done to alleviate the switching issues.

If you require lower resolution due to sight issues, you should intentionally purchase a lower resolution panel. If you use a lower resolution due to video card performance you should purchase a higher performance video card.

If new hardware isn't in your immediate future, you should set both your monitors to the same resolution, and this should also be the resolution you game at. Alternatively you can game in Windowed mode if your game's support it.

My second monitor is not the same size in " so the same resolution thing is not posible, both monitors are using a native resolution.

Is their a way to do this without a 3rd party program ?

You can change your monitor's resolution within Windows, you can set them both to 1440x900.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/change-your-screen-resolution

You can change the game's resolution within the game, the method is different for every game but usually reside within video/graphics options.

You can usually alternate from full screen to windowed mode within your game by pressing alt - enter.
