Ok, so at the mementos I am gaming using a single monitor (VG248QE) which I think is fine for my pc and console as I can easily just switch from display port when on my PC to Hdmi when on my console.
However I am now looking to bring a set top box into the picture which means I will be getting another monitor so I can watch tv and game at the same time. I plan to have console and pc connected to left monitor and then pc and set top box (skybox) connected to right monitor.
So my question is this, say I'm gaming on pc and watching tv on second monitor, will it waste the power of my gpu on the second monitor as it is still plugged in even though I am on a different source?
Any advice or even a better way to setup would be appreciated. Thanks
