Question dual monitor fix? pls help

Hello i just got dual monitors, a problem i have been having if when im on my main monitor for example playing fortnite when i click on my second monitor to use it my game will close back on my first monitor, this is not just with games but with everything is this normal or is there a fix?

You mean by close totally exiting program or minimizing?
