Dual monitor for laptop.

I have an extra laptop that i do not use, is there a way for me to connect that laptop to my current laptop to serve as a dual monitor?

Do you want to duplicate the screen or extend it? As far as I know it's not possible, unless you used screen mirroring to just duplicate from one to the other.

I was thinking of extending it. For example i could have one assignment on one screen and a word document on another.
