Hi,
So I recently bought a second Dell S2718HN monitor for my setup. I connected the new display to my integrated 6600k GPU to make sure it wouldn't influence the gaming performance on the other monitor that's connected to an R9 280x.

Everything works great but I noticed a quite clearly visible difference in color between the two monitors. At first I thought it was the monitor calibration, but when I switched the two inputs for the monitors I noticed there's a difference between the output of the GPU and the integrated graphics.

My GPU seems to display more bright vivid colors while the integrated intel graphics have a greyish tint. I tried updating the intel graphics and playing with the exposure but that doesn't really change it.

Here's an image of the monitors taken both showing the same white webpage: https://imgur.com/gallery/QFAq7GL

I think it's a problem with the integrated GPU. I've tried setting the intel graphics quantization range to full (instead of default) but that doesn't change the color.

Is there anyone that has any idea of how this is possible and/or how to fix this?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

i dont really know, but maybe if you use like HDMI for the GPU and DVI or VGA for the Integrated Graphics that might be the fault

Graphics drivers have the ability to calibrate colors.
You could adjust the gaming monitor to match the integrated monitor.

I do not know If the intel integrated driver has such options.
There may be options on the monitor to adjust the white levels to match better.

But... the really simple solution is to just attach the monitor to the discrete card.
In the past, I ran tests with a second gpu and found that attaching to the gaming adapter made no difference at all.

Thx for your reply.
No, both monitors are connected via HDMI. The problem is that the only way to connect them without VGA-DVI connector is HDMI (monitor has only HMDI & VGA, while gpu and cpu only have HDMI & DVI), so I cant test that.

Thanks for your reply.
I would match the gaming one to the integrated one if it weren't for the fact that the gaming one just looks much better with more vivid colors and whiter whites.
I went through the limited Intel graphics menu but there seems to be a max whiteness that just looks greyish.

I'll probably test with both monitors connected to the GPU, but I'd need a DVI to VGA adapter so I'm not able to try that yet.
