Sorry in advance if this is a bit of a ramble.
Recently did some computer work for a friend and he decided to pay me with a Old(ish) HP w2207 1680x1050.
My Specs
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64
Intel 4670K
GTX 970 SSC (1 DVI/1 HDMI 2.0/ 3 Display Port 1.2)
Main Monitor - HP 2311x 23" 1920x1080p Landscape (1 DVI/ 1 HDMI/ 1 VGA)
Secondary - HP w2207 22" 1680x1050p Portrait (1 DVI/ 1 VGA)
My 2311x was originally Connected via DVI cause I really dont like to use HDMI because of Over/Underscan. Because the w2207 doesnt feature HDMI and my 970 SSC only features one DVI Connector, I was forced to go buy a new HDMI cable, connect the 2311x via HDMI and use the DVI cable for the w2207.
I dont really like to mix resolutions or connection types but I really dont seem to have a choice.
To be honest, I much rather have 2 VG248QE's and hook them up via DP.
I disabled HDMI audio in NVCP to keep it from thinking the 2311x was a potential audio device.
One of the minor issues Im having right now is my 1920x1080 wallpaper on the w2207 has horizontal black bars on the top and bottom. I figure due to the actual vertical resolution of that monitor now being 1680 due to it being in portrait mode.
Is there any way to fix that? I cant seem to find any native way within windows or NVCP to have seperate wallpapers on each screen so I could have a proper wallpaper on the w2207....
