Dual Monitor Issues

Hello!

Recently I setup dual monitors on my PC and had no issues initially, both monitors worked and were running fine. I have both a Dell ST2420L and a Dell E2414H monitor with the 2420 using an HDMI line and the 2414 using a VGA connection to a GTX 970. Recently, after entering Sleep Mode one night, my 2420 doesn't display, it will turn on and recognize the HDMI cord but it will enter Power Saving Mode and my PC will not detect the monitor at all. I had some success earlier with power cycles and unplugging and plugging but now it is permanently like this. I have updated numerous drivers and none seem to help.

Any Ideas?

have you tried switching the monitors around even tho the Dell E2414H does not have hdmi?

Yeah, the VGA connection works with both monitors

try the hdmi monitor by itself using hdmi to see if still has an issue or not. what ports do you have on that videocard?

Its working now, I tried what you said and it didn't work so I tried a new cord and its working strangely.
