Hi,

I have an Acer Spin SP513-51 with a intel i3-6100u processor and Intel HD graphics 520 card.

I'm looking to have dual extended displays. I already have one monitor hooked up via hdmi. I am going to get a USB 2.0 to vga cord so I can hook up the second monitor. But then it occurred to me that the computer may not be able to support two monitors, even if I am using separate cables. The intel site says the graphics card itself supports up to three monitors.

Will dual monitor extended display work with the configuration listed above, or do I need another device to make this work?

Solution
You'll want a USB 3.0 to VGA adapter, not the 2.0 adapter. Hook this up to the USB 3.0 port, i.e. the USB port with the blue indicator. If you use the USB 2.0 port, it may limit the resolution to 800x600 - not very useful. Yes - your laptop will support 2 monitors.
