Dual Monitor Questions

So, I have two monitors and when I'm playing a game on one and want to switch to the other monitor to use the internet browser of whatever it minimizes the game and flashes the screen a few times. Is this normal? I would love to know if there is a way to not minimize my game when I use my other monitor. Thanks

I don't know if it matters but I have a R9 280x

if you are running the second monitor as an extended desktop then you better try running games in windowed mode(full screen) or borderless. while in game by pressing windows button will automatically go into windowed mode without minimizing and you will be able to move pointer to the second monitor.whenever you click into the game screen again you can resume playing. however these options must be supported by the games you play in order to be avaliable!try in game video options!
