Dual monitor resolution problems.

When I turn on my dual monitors to "extend mode" my second monitor (hp s2031 w/vga connection) automatically assigns it the lowest possible resolutions setting. Even when I try to set the resolution to the "native" settings then click apply, it says it did and asks me "keep the changes" or wait and it will "revert back to previous settings", so I obviously click "keep the changes" but to no avail.

What I have found in that situation, is that you need to uninstall the video card drivers and reinstall them after rebooting.

Also, in some instances, you may also need to download the monitor's driver.
