I have a desk which is enclosed inside of a hutch. There is no physical room for a second monitor inside of it. I do have a shelf which goes in and out between the desk and the keyboard shelf. I have started using Microsoft teams and it's large interface, doesn't sit well with all the development screens I work on. Has such, I really would like a second screen.

Any possible recommendations?
Thank you

Thanks. Unfortunately, I need the locking hutch for protection from others. Otherwise, that would have been the first thing I would have done.

I do have a couple of surfaces to clamp to.. it's possible that some sort of articulating arm based mount would work. Considering that I'm talking about separating communications from development, I don't need, or even want, the two monitors right next to each other. At least, that is my current feeling, without actually using it.

It's hard to visualize where a monitor would be able to be placed, with a clamp/arm-based mount, without already having the mount in hand. I guess buying it in a place for the good return policy would probably be helpful.

Can you use a wall mount for one of the monitors?
The monitor could swing out and be next to the main display.

You might be able to clamp an arm mount to the top of the armorie and have it drop down.

Simplest would be to place a table next to the armorie .

Could you fit a 32" wide monitor in the top space?

With a saw and duct tape you can do just about anything....

Seriously, I stand by the answer of new desk. It sucks, but if you want to do something new you need to get the things to do it. Better frame rates in games? Faster GPU. Faster load times, buy an SSD. Dual, or more monitors, get a desk that will hold them. It's an upgrade. Unless you are putting a table or other such thing nearby it's the only way.

Placing a table next to it, has an issue of the little ones having access to it, when I'm not there (or constantly removing it). I think the wall is too far away for a wall amount.. maybe a clamp mount from above, if there's one that can be easily adjusted high up , when I'm not there.

I currently have a 24-in monitor, looking at the standard length for 32 inch monitors, it may or may not fit.. right now I've about 7 in in length to spare.
As well , I have access to a spare 24-in and 17-in monitor at the moment... On the other hand, a good Mount, may cost more than a monitor..
