Hi, I have a situation here...I like to capture my gameplay from PS4 console using a game capture card so there are times when I'm playing on PS4 connected to one monitor and then on the other monitor (connected to PC) I'm running the game capture software. This is all good but here is where I need help. When not playing on the console and only working on my PC I am only using 1 monitor. How can I change the setup so when not playing on my console I can use both screens with my PC.
I was thinking about just connecting from PC to the other gaming monitor with VGA and then if console is off both monitors with work with PC but what happens if the console is turned on, now one monitor have input coming from HDMI and VGA, is that bad for the monitor and not sure what the outcome will be...so how can I solve this issue?

Please advise.
Thank you!

Most monitors let you select the input so you can have it connected to many devices and pick what to display. It's not bad for the monitor at all, that's why they have multiple inputs. My monitor is currently hooked to DVI from my main PC, HDMI from my tablet when I want to play android games, and VGA from my media PC when I want to do things from it. Press a button, cycle inputs.

ahh I see, I have a BenQ monitor and guess I have to specify the input, so from the menu I will have to choose the input I want. That way I can switch in between, let me try and see how this works out

Actually facing a weird issue now, on Ben Q monitor on the input menu I see D-sub, not sure what that stands for but that's what I selected for VGA as others are HDMI 1, HDMI 2 and DVI. But it does not work, my PC with windows 10 does not detect a 2nd monitor. I restarted it and still the same problem. Any ideas?

I have tried that already and nothing happens, monitor keeps saying no signal.
