I recently got a second monitor for my computer. I hooked them both up with with HDMI and one with DVI. I plugged them both into my graphics card because my motherboard wasn't working. I know I probably have to set up something in the BIOS. Ever since I have had it plugged in most games run fine but with reduced performance which is expected. I was just wondering if it is possible/better to plug one into the motherboard and one into the GPU?

Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A

GPU: EVGA GTX 760

Processor: Intel i5-4670k

If you are gaming on just the single monitor there should be no performance loss with two monitors plugged in. I have three Asus 27" monitors connected to my system and have no performance loss what so ever when running a game at 1080p on my center monitor. Reduced performance with two monitors in NOT to be expected. Your GTX 760 should be able to handle two monitors plugged in as long as you are not gaming on both monitors at the same time.

I don't game on it, but I usually have like twitch or youtube open on the second monitor would that lower preformance?
