Question Dual monitor setup

Hello, I was looking for some help with setting up a dual monitor setup my device only has 1 hdmi port and a splitter would only duplicate that output would a 2 monitor setup work with the two monitors individually controllable if I used one monitor with a hdmi to hdmi and one with a mini dp to hdmi

If you connect the screens to separate video output ports you should get two separate screens, so yes a Mini DP to HDMI cable should do the job.
