Dual monitor + STRIX R9 380 4b - very high idle temps?

Before I got dual monitors, I'd get about 40c idle on my GPU, but now when I have two monitors connected to it the idle temp goes to 60c. while gaming it goes to 70-80c, which I guess is normal. but why are the idle temps so high nad is it normal?

i also have a asus strix r9 380 and it idles around ~60c with 1440p single monitor. i think its because the fan doesnt turn on until under load so on idle the temp is higher. is your fan spinning idle? i guess you can change the fan speed curve and see if it changes. also check your core clocks/memory when idle. my second thought is maybe its related to psu since i only have a 400w at the moment, but i'll upgrade it to 500w+ quality psu soon.
