Dual monitor tearing with radeon 6850

Good Morning for the past few months I have been struggling with this.



My set:

a samsung LCD 20 monitor connected with DVI, and a Samsung HDTV 720p/ 1080i.



I was able to drive these both with my old 5570 radeon. with no problems.The LCD would run as 1920x1080 and the HDTV would run the same image but as 1080i

I can not get this to work with the 6850. If I set the LCD as the preffered monitor, the HDTV has a consistant tear about a 3rd of the way down. If I set the HDTV as preffered the LCD has a severe stuttering problem.

I would love any help that anyone has to give.

What make/model of power supply are you using? Your 5570 did not require an additional power connection, but your 6850 does. It may simply be a matter of power. Please clarify.

I have a 500w power cooler master supply. my CPU is a AMD Phenom x4 965 BE.

Are you overclocking anything? If so, revert to stock speeds for all (CPU, GPU, and memory). If not, how are your temps? I suspect your PSU is the problem otherwise.
