[SOLVED] Dual Monitors - 2nd monitor poor picture via DVI

I have a GTX 570 on a Z97-A . I have two HP Z27n monitors. I use them in a dual, extended setup.

To have a clear picture on each I had to plug the Display Port for each into both the GTX 570 and the onboard graphics Intel HD 4600. This meant that Photoshop chose the wrong HD 4600 GPU which is the lesser of the two.

The GTX570 as 1 Displayport (I imagine V1.0) and 2 DVIs and 1 HDMI. I plugged monitor 2 in via DVI but the picture is garbage.

Just wondering what might cause this? The GTX should be man enough to drive both screens at native resolution?

I understand I can only Daisychain dual monitors via Displayport 1.2. When I daisychain them currently I just get two identical screens.

You have to use a "dual-link" DVI cable to get 1440p. A single-link cable only allows 1080p which looks like garbage scaled to 1440p.

Aaah! I'll see what I have. Thanks for that. The HDMI looked better than the garbage DVI but still poor.
